Michael Moore and Rupert Murdoch

Basic premises:

Subject to whatever libel laws exist, does Michael Moore have the right to make whatever film he chooses to? YES

Does Moore have the right to mislead, distort and even lie during the film? YES

Does anyone have to see the Moore film if they don't choose to? NO

Does the Fox News Channel have the right to reflect any values they choose to? YES

Can they be self-serving and call their news "Fair and Balanced" if they choose to? YES

Is anyone forced to watch the Fox News Channel? NO

Moveon.org has glommed onto both stories -- calling for a boycott of Disney because they chose not to release the Moore film; and attacking Fox cable news for not being "Fair and balanced."

I wish I had said it, but "freedom of the press" belongs to those who own one.

If you don't approve of what they are saying, CHANGE THE CHANNEL, OR DON'T SEE THE MOVIE.
